A new series of features on our favourite stockists starts with 1LDK apartments in Nakameguro, Tokyo.
LDK is an abbreviation frequently used in the world of Japanese real estate to describe apartments. It stands for Living, Dining and Kitchen area, and is generally preceded by the number of rooms. Apartments is the lifestyle-oriented branch of the six stores 1LDK operate (five in Japan and one in Paris) and consists of three parts: Me – womenswear and menwear; Taste and Sense – a café and restaurant; and Edited/Found Store - for books and interior goods.
For us, it’s the highlight of the Nakameguro area, known for it’s slower pace and well balanced mix of independent boutiques, bookshops, arts galleries and restaurants.
Well worth a visit if ever you’re in town.
