For our latest Modular Sounds series, Berlin-based Polish composer and pianist Hania Rani has unveiled a captivating 17 song journey of cinematic minimalism.
Rani’s deep connection to music began early, studying classical piano in her youth before expanding into composition, production, and experimental soundscapes. She first drew widespread acclaim with her 2019 debut Esja, followed by the emotionally rich Home, both of which showcased her distinctive ability to blur the boundaries between neoclassical, ambient, and electronic music. In addition to her solo work, Rani has composed for film and theatre and collaborated with artists across disciplines, carving a path uniquely her own in the contemporary music world.
