For Spring 26 Studio Nicholson launch their debut fragrance, SOAP, a collaboration between Nick Wakeman and Lyn Harris of Perfumer H.
Wakeman, founder and creative director of Studio Nicholson and Harris, perfumer and founder of Perfumer H met in the early 2000s in Portobello Road, West London. They initially bonded over clothing. Both would go on to establish independent British brands which share philosophies around craftsmanship, timelessness and attention to detail.
For episode 3 of the Studio Nicholson podcast, Wakeman and Harris sat down with Simon Chilvers in East London to answer 10 questions about life, their friendship and this collaboration, which also includes a capsule collection of clothes inspired by Harris’s uniform.
Harris says she always noticed that Wakeman wore a fragrance - Wakeman loves perfumery - and for several years the Studio Nicholson stores have smelled of Perfumer H candles. The natural progression was for the pair was to create something together; SOAP is an intimate blend of cardamom and white pepper, washed by soft aldehydes and orange flower, with a tender base of white musks, ambrox and tonka, SOAP captures the trace of clean fabric against skin. It is available as an Eau de Parfum and incense.
