Following their debut SS24 partnership, Studio Nicholson introduces a newly designed GEL-KINETIC™ SP sneaker - an APAC-exclusive collaboration that highlights the London brand's purist and restrained design codes without compromising functionality. The shoe blends a rich nubuck leather upper with ASICS’ superior technical tooling for a hybrid silhouette that marries the signature language of both brands, resulting in a balanced, quietly functional shoe.

Studio Nicholson draws on a long-standing affinity with Japanese design culture, from architecture to everyday wear, making its ongoing collaboration with Kobe-based ASICS a natural fit.

Centred around the quiet routines of creatives moving through the city, the GEL-KINETIC™ SP sneaker is a natural extension of Studio Nicholson wardrobing - a shoe built on purpose without compromising aesthetics. The shoe is designed to be worn alongside tailored and casual pieces, offering a more measured perspective on everyday footwear.

Arriving in dark brown and black, the Studio Nicholson x ASICS GEL-KINETIC™ SP sneaker features a newly developed upper with a symmetrical zip-up gusset closure. The construction cleverly conceals both brands’ logos beneath a clean exterior, preserving a pared-back sensibility. The zip itself is bespoke and is finished with a crafted nubuck leather knot tie. 

The silhouette of the ASICS SportStyle GEL-KINETIC™ SP sneaker is designed with a sense of refinement, where each detail is considered and only essential elements remain. This pure approach allows for an upper that’s stripped back, to simply follow the natural contours of the foot. Stitching and construction are minimised, allowing the shape and fabrication of the shoe to carry the design, resulting in a profile that feels precise.

Across the sole unit, the performance DNA is evident in its advanced cushioning and stability systems.
