Inspired by the nostalgia and polish of inner-city New York in the early 90’s, our debut line of sunglasses has been produced and crafted in partnership with the Japanese optic experts EYEVAN Inc. The ‘Kumiki' style name derives from a traditional Japanese architectural method of construction, where several blocks precisely interlock to create a solid join - quietly demonstrated on the hinge fixture of these sunglasses. Minimal yet distinctive, this detail reflects Studio Nicholson's modular approach to design.
