The debut leather bag collection from Studio Nicholson is crafted from grained calf leather or a soft, tactile suede. Three styles are available: The Doublet, Shiboru and Fortuna.
Thoughtfully designed, using no hardware, each style uniquely reflects shapes found in our ready-to-wear collections and are produced in Italy using the highest quality premium leather.
The Shiboru - meaning 'to squeeze' in Japanese - offers a relaxed take on a trapezium form. The construction combines perpendicular lines with the curved, permitting the bag to slouch when worn. Just two corners are fully seamed with a hand-painted edge whilst an adjustable shoulder strap is secured from the other opposing curved corners. The Shiboru's folded concealed magnetic closure further allows the structure to determine its functionality.
The Doublet combines perpendicular lines with the curved, this extra-large tote is constructed from Italian leather with just two corner seams and one shoulder strap, creating volume and a silhouette reminiscent of an unstructured shoulder or sleeve. The fixed strap is secured on opposite corners permitting the bag to slouch when worn. This tote fits comfortably under the arm falling to the wearer's fingertips.
Echoing a ready-to-wear Studio Nicholson pleated pant, Fortuna has single pleats on both sides of this small cross-body bag, creating a three-dimensional form allowing the bag to angle out from the body rather than sitting flat. Featuring an adjustable strap to be worn tight under the arm or cross-body.
