Studio Nicholson x Paraboot

Studio Nicholson and Paraboot return for AW24 reframing the French shoemakers' signature ‘Michael’ silhouette in a limited edition run, realised in luxurious, grained deerskin.

Handcrafted in Paraboot’s small-run artisan factory, the hard-wearing unisex derby has been produced in a darkest brown colourway, accordant with the new Studio Nicholson Winter ’24 collection, which features elegant tones of espresso, mole, feather and black. 

"We never compromise on fabrication, and I’d discovered this particular deerskin which is so special not only because it has this beautiful glossy grain but it is also super durable. Applying it to the ‘Michael’ derby made perfect sense in a mission to add that elevated, just noticeable difference to such a versatile shoe."

Expertly constructed using traditional Norwegian welt stitching, the ‘Michael’ has been handcrafted in supple drummed deer leather, with a durable sheepskin leather lining and genuine French rubber lug soles for underfoot comfort and support, ideal for versatile styling. Subtle hiking references accent the shoe as tonal brown and white mountain-style cotton laces contrast the decadently soft deer leather upper. To finish, Paraboot’s iconic green side tab that signifies the label’s world-class heritage has been reinterpreted for the first time to feature Studio Nicholson's pared-back logo.
