White Light – Summer 21 Men’s Washed Denim

Is there anything more iconic than denim? A fabric so familiar and steeped in history that we almost take it for granted. Equal parts durable and striking, this hardy, cotton cloth is the unsung hero item that acts as the hard-working framework for every season. The epitome of casual dressing, there’s no wonder it’s having a resurgence in popularity. Tough but smart, it flatters everyone, regardless of age, shape or size. So, with warmer days around the corner, perhaps it’s a good time to start shaking things up on the shade choices, because after all - nothing lights up the modular wardrobe like an injection of optic white denim.

"Nothing lights up the modular wardrobe like an injection of optic white denim."

As part of the Summer 2021 Men’s collection, Studio Nicholson have taken an elevated route towards white denim eutopia, with a brand-new interpretation of the classics. Enzyme washed to guarantee a seriously comfortable ride, this capsule collection of bright everyday ease has been enhanced for a much softer handle and laid-back appeal. Made in London using our signature 14oz denim, wearability satisfaction is improved thanks to the expertise of our laundering technique – which has been introduced in a bid to erase the outdated notion that white denim needs to remain pristine.

By washing away those limitations, this three-part denim trio is designed for action. The playful Puch Pant is a reinterpretation of our best-selling volume styles, with pleat front and low-slung back pockets, the generous, bevelled leg shape amplifies their status as a denim trousers – as opposed to a jean. The boxy Lazar Jacket is built with masculine utility at the forefront. Clean-cut with an oversized front flap pocket sitting just below the chest, the blouson silhouette is enhanced with an expertly executed inverted pleat at the centre back.

For days when the mercury reaches double figures, the Palermo Shorts are cut to brighten up the leg quadrant and give the wearer an excuse to break out some new socks (and a pair of Studio Nicholson Vulcanised Rainboots). Engineered with the traditional 5-pocket formula, these are manufactured for longevity and work brilliantly teamed with an oversized Letra cotton T-shirt, the Luro Knitted Polo, or for maximum impact - the lightweight Digby Mac. With every element made at Blackhorse Lane Ateliers in London, these are denim molecules with a difference. Washed, wearable and interchangeable with the rest of the modular wardrobe, you can be sure that when life returns to normal, a couple of grass stains here and there will only add to their charm.
