For Summer 23, Studio Nicholson combines a thoroughly modern aesthetic with reassuringly nostalgic textures. The ancient roots of fair-weather fabric have been examined and reinvigorated for the contemporary customer. Designed with the future in mind, slubbed fair-weather linens have been introduced to add fluidity and tradition to fresh-fitting silhouettes. This isn’t a collection fuelled by reverie – rather a solid selection of historically inspired fibres, brought into the present day with intelligent cut, sportswear ease and inventive application.
Women's Summer '23 Collection - Golden Hour Power
Garments engineered to withstand the rigours of relentless humidity have informed the overall attitude of the season. As always, the modular elements skim the skin – allowing for the freedom of movement. Pleats, dropped waists, visible seams and slits allow the body to ventilate elegantly. Open backed tops and dresses celebrate forgotten erogenous zones and bring delicate sophistication to the signature Studio Nicholson garment architecture.
Flat-fronted pants with flattering pintucks are given a deliberate centre-front crease. Chic, lazy waistbands hang lower down, towards the hip for total comfort. Leg lengths are clipped to swing at the ankle. Bold but breezy, there’s a laid-back slouch to these menswear-inspired separates. Camp collared shirts, sporty drawstring cinches and featherweight cloth guarantee a smooth ride, no matter what the temperature.
Hues are considerably relaxed. Golden hour vibes resonate through the Chestnut and illuminating Whites - as well as the Gia Pant and Piero Shirt in Amber. Neutral buttery shades are peppered with Pearl and Sand. Parchment signals the softer sensation of warm weather playfulness in the Valle half-placket, Soledad skirt and the Velho top. Modular stalwarts made for a long, hot summer. Think authentic, vintage volume. Natural, tactile shapes. Breathable, polished character that flows. Summer 23 stimulates the senses.
