This Ray shirt pays homage to a photograph of River Phoenix in Gus Van Sant’s 108 portraits taken in Los Angeles in the early 1990s. It’s cut from lightweight cotton with a plaid check — mimicking the play between light and shadow in the original picture — and has a classic spread collar and curved hem for a relaxed feel.
