Our third London store has now opened on Marylebone Lane in central London. Spread across the ground floor of a Georgian townhouse, the store is situated in a prominent end-of-row position on the quiet, meandering street of Marylebone Lane.
Marylebone Lane store opens
“I have always had a natural affinity to this area of London – Studio Nicholson has lots of friends in Marylebone. There’s nothing quite like this neighbourhood, it has such a strong cultural identity and international appeal, yet there’s a tight-knit local community, so there’s always been a feeling of closeness and familiarity. In that sense, Marylebone is unique, and we are very happy to be joining such a significant part of London culture.” Says Nick Wakeman, Studio Nicholson Founder and Creative Director.
Our new store concept, first presented with the opening of the Studio Nicholson Redchurch Street store in East London, works with an overall colour palette of soft, understated tones that mirror the design codes in Studio Nicholson’s seasonal collections. Architectural firm Studio Tuesday collaborated with Nick Wakeman on design, as well as fabrication and fit-out, to create a space that’s both sensual and functional in equal parts.
An elongated travertine table, selected for its distinctive leaf-like pattern, extends through the space as a striking focal point, evoking a sense of calm and introducing a residential warmth. Framing this centrepiece, brushed steel rails are seamlessly integrated along the perimeter and mid-floor, to elegantly showcase the men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections together.
Like the Redchurch Street store, an imposing shelving unit, crafted from cherry oak panelled timber, extends from floor to ceiling and spans across the shop floor, housing Studio Nicholson's new nylon bag line, footwear, and accessories on elegant bull-nosed shelves topped with textured glass floating rises. Subtly designed, the structure hides a wrapping station at the rear and provides access to two fitting rooms. These rooms, constructed in the same panelled wood with pivoting doors, feature interiors accented by an oxblood-tiled wall. Custom mirrors with softly diffused edge lighting add a refined finishing touch, as does the flooring, which consists of unique black and blue slate quarry tiles hand-made in Derbyshire.

To celebrate the opening, Nick Wakeman has designed exclusive pieces, only available at the Marylebone store. A men’s View and women’s Luis shirt, each in a blue dobby barre stripe, join a new unisex straight leg Marylebone jean, arriving in a black and indigo light wash.
We look forward to welcoming our customers to our new location at 94 Marylebone Lane, W1 where we will be open daily from 10.30am on weekdays and Saturdays, and 12pm on Sundays.
